River Valley Raptors, Inc. was founded in 2018 by Abbey and Joe Krumrie. Natives to the Driftless Area, Joe and Abbey both started working with raptors in 2009. They have worked at several education and wildlife rehabilitation centers throughout the U.S. Joe became a licensed falconer in 2013 and Abbey in 2015. Abbey is also a certified professional bird trainer through IATCB and both Abbey and Joe are members of the International Association of Avian Trainers and Educators. Their combined passion led to the founding of River Valley Raptors in Buffalo City, WI, with hopes to fly north to the La Crosse area soon.
SHOW YOUR SUPPORT
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, River Valley Raptors receives no state or federal funding. Our organization is supported by tax-deductible donations and program fees. We appreciate each and every donation: as we plan our relocation to La Crosse and work towards securing a new vehicle for traveling to programs, every donation counts!
Direct donations through PayPal, Venmo or check help us to directly fund the care of our bird team, maintenance of our facility, and organizational growth as we look to expand into the La Crosse area. These funds are a critical part of our work as they provide the most flexibility within our growing organization! Each and every dollar counts. All donations are fully tax-deductible.

Our Bonfire storefront helps us to sell original merchandise like tee shirts and tote bags without holding a physical inventory. Each sale gives a portion of the funds directly to River Valley Raptors, Inc., and they’re pretty cool, too! Our Bonfire store is regularly updated with new designs. Check it out to see if your favorite raptor is featured on one of our designs!

A big part of what we do is raptor programs! If you live within a few hours of us and want to host us for an event, we will go to all sorts of different places and will present for both public events and private groups. Our programs can be tailored to the specific needs of your group and we are always happy to work something out to provide a great and educational experience.
